Cairo Cafe & Restaurant Cannington

I recently take away from Cairo Cannington and unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. The Oriental rice was extremely dry, and finding mince was a challenge. Compared to previous orders, it wasn't up to par. The chicken skewers had unusually large chunks, with only three pieces on one stick instead of the usual six. Furthermore, the garlic sauce that usually accompanies the skewers was missing from the bag. The Biryani rice suffered a similar fate - dry, lacking flavor, and resembling plain yellow rice. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Wow!!!!!!! Being from out of town we were looking for somewhere to have a hot meal. Little did we know we would be walking into a food lovers paradise. The buffet is an absolute must - with delicious spiced meats, pastas, vegetarian and vegan options along with a fresh salad bar. The buffet includes drinks as well as a small and scrumptious selection of deserts. The icing on the cake is the service. All members of staff were so kind, welcoming and helpful when we asked for recommendations and assistance. You must try the lemon and mint blended juice you will not be disappointed.

I had lunch today (12/11/23) at the Cairo cafe restaurant today with a relative, we both ordered the Bamya (okra) dish, and it exceeded all expectations. The generous portion of perfectly cooked rice, tender lamb, and the rich, fragrant tomato, onion, and spiced sauce made for a truly satisfying meal. The value for the price was outstanding. Our server, Kunal, played a big role in making our visit memorable. He was not only helpful and welcoming but also exceptionally knowledgeable about cuisines. Our conversation with him about his passion for cooking added a personal touch to the meal. What truly stood out was when Kunal surprised us with a complimentary container of assorted baklava to take home, elevating our dining experience even further. From the delicious food to the impeccable service, everything about this restaurant was exceptional. We’re already looking forward to returning to explore more dishes and perhaps indulge in their weekend banquet. Definitely recommend for those looking to try Egyptian food.

I went there for a quick dinner buffet with my friend who wanted to try Egyptian cuisine. The staff were very friendly & nice in welcoming us. Great atmosphere & quiet to enjoy the meal at. Food variety was amazing and the quality is quite high & consistent in all types. Also, "Kunal" was a very friendly waiter who helped us with the menu and we really appreciate it. Overall, it was a great experience & we would be back again!
